I must say that I was really impressed with the Tarantula, the sleek design and a nice feature set. When it comes to performance this keyboard won't let you down, I've been using it for a couple of weeks now and I have grown quite fond of the short traveling length keys that are medium high.
The only thing that I dislike about this keyboard besides from the easily scratchable gloss surface is the price, coming in at $129.99 it's really expensive compared to other high end keyboards on the market today. Even when taking into account the many great features and performance of the keyboard you have to be a hardcore gamer in order for the keyboard to be worth that amount of money.
The general build quality of the keyboard is really good and it feels quite sturdy. Even the key release system is quite durable, I tried changing the same key 10 times in a row and I couldn't find any damages to the internal connectors, this is largely because of the ingenious way Razer has build the key mechanism.
Overall I'm impressed with the features and standard of the Tarantula...

"No other keyboard I've had compaires. Best part is I can press all the keys I want, and they work! Totally responisive. Only bad thing is, where are all the docking port accessories?? I WANT MY BATTLE LIGHT!!!!"

"I bought a Tarantula recently and have been using it the last two weeks. It really is an amazing keyboard, with lots of space for comfortable typing and great response in every game I've tried it. The design of the keyboard is amazing; people who come over often comment on how elegant it is. The only con I could find was that they keyboard wasn't completely backlit. Everything else works like a charm, and the macro keys are easy to set up and I actually use them, as opposed to my old keyboard. I'd suggest this to anyone who considers them self a real gamer."

"Simply Amazing!. easily a 5 star product. the size of the keys are perfect and ooffer great confort along with the wrist rest, the macro buttons are great for everything whether it be gaming or other purposes. Ever been ticked off because your kepboard didnt respond fast enough or just couldnt handle the ammount of keys you pressed? well you wont ever have this problem ever again if you buy the tarantula because of its state of the art 1000Hz Ultrapolling and its Anti-Ghosting capability. if your looking for a high quality, high performance, user friendly and comfortable keyboard, then the Razer Tarantula Gaming Keyboard is definately what your looking for."
